Why use Stevia to sweeten your stuff?

For years I have been hearing about low calorie and no calorie ways to sweeten food and drinks. In general, humans like sweets! But straight sugar and other high-calorie sweet foods can contribute to weight gain, out of control blood sugar, cavities, and the health problems that are caused by these things.

I have been fortunate enough to not have much of a sweet tooth. When a craving hits I go ahead and indulge in the ice cream or soft drink that my heart desires.

When those cravings last for more than a couple of servings, or when somebody I care about is showing signs of having too many sweets in their live, one of my top suggestions is stevia. Specifically, I recommend Omica Organics' brand.

Omica Organics Liquid Stevia is made from a highly concentrated extract that has never been dried. The downside of all this natural goodness is that the product can coagulate over time. It gets cloudy then starts to crystalize. It is still safe and the crystalization affect can be reduced by putting the bottle in hot water like you would a jar of honey.
